This
past weekend's 3rd Annual Nolan Jenkins Memorial Youth lacrosse Tournament was a huge success. Every game was played
and despite the rain, according to all reports we have received, everyone had a great time. We are very fortunate
to have access to as many Sport Turf fields as we do here in Charlottesville, VA. acac/CAYLC would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participating teams,
coach's and especially the parent's for coming to Charlottesville. We also would like to thank The University of Virginia
and St. Anne's-Belfield School for allowing us to use their wonderful facilities. And, last but not least,
special thanks are in order to all of our volunteer's and to our sponsor's for their generous support. We
look forward to seeing everyone again next year. Good luck to all the teams this spring.
Here are just three of the emails we have received from coach's that participated in
our Tournament:
Dear Coach Mattie,
Just wanted to shoot you this email regarding
the Nolan Jenkins Memorial lacrosse Tournament. I wanted to express our sincere thanks for a well organized and exciting tournament
in what is probably one of the best venues around. This is our second time at the NJMLT and we looked forward to it from the
beginning of the year. Thank you for great fields, great refs and great lacrosse! Our entire team and families had a fantastic
time regardless of the uncooperative weather.
Please thank everyone involved for putting on such a superb event!
Regards,
Steve Powers Coach, Peninsula Predators
Just wanted to thank you for once again putting together a great event. We have been part of the first 3 and it has gotten better with each year. While the
boys I am coaching this season move on to high
school next year, I am certain you can count on more BYC teams to support this event in the future. Good luck this season with ACAC/CAYLC and
in the coming years with this event. Thanks again, Jim BYC Lacrosse
As well as the tournament is run I cannot believe you have no
control over the weather. From the entire Ocean City team, coaches and parents, thank you for a great tournament, everything
was first class; sorry for all your efforts that Mother Nature did not cooperate, however, it is unique in that despite the
weather no games get cancelled, unlike any other tournament I’ve experienced. Thanks again and relax today, you
and your staff earned it
